Mike and Kirsty’s wedding was unlike any wedding that I have ever been too for many reason. The most prominent that it was all planned entirely by the Mike and Kirsty and all executed the day of by Mike. My first ever “Groom planner”. Typically I would not recommend trying to plan and execute your own wedding. I have seen it done well… But often I see self planning brides stressing over details the day of and not really enjoying their day. What made this wedding day special was Mikes determination to coordinate a perfect wedding the day of for the love of his life so that she could enjoy her special day. Even when faced with extreme adversity friends and family came together and everything worked out perfectly in the end.

All this cold weather in Denver has me thinking of warmer days! This wedding at Anderson cabin in Beaver Creek was one of my favorites this fall. The small cabin is nestled into the aspen trees just above The Ritz-Carlton in Bachelor gulch CO. Anderson’s Cabin is the original homestead of John Anderson, one of seven bachelors who settled the Gulch in the early 1900s. Its breathtaking view’s and surrounding aspen trees make Anderson’s one of my favorite locations for an outdoor wedding venue in Colorado. As the warm fall day turned into a cool evening guests were shuttled back down to The Ritz Carlton for the reception under a candle lit tent on their mountain side terrace.
